Two interesting items can be found buried in the list of rules.  Part of Rule 106(A) still references "street cars".  And Rule 850 reveals why many TS trains with multiple locomotives had the second engine placed "mid-train": coupled locomotives were prohibited over the Stanislaus River bridge.  This restriction would be lifted with the rebuilding of the bridge during the 1950's.
