Missing in Action

Over the years, the Tidewater's equipment has become widely scattered and almost forgotten. One of my goals with this website is to locate and survey all existing pieces of TS equipment, from lanterns to locomotives.

I am seeking dispositions, current conditions, ownership, and any other info on:

Any TS freight cars
Particularly members of the 601 and 801 class boxcars and the 201 class gondolas.

TS 202 Jewett Interurban car
Located on a private ranch near Hatch.  This is not the car preserved in the Western Railroad Museum at Rio Vista Jct., which is TS 200.  Peter Hinckley of the BAERA reports that when they acquired the 200 in 1979, the 202 was nearby but severly damaged/decayed on one side.  The car is now built into part of a barn and its condition is unknown.  Seeking more info on current condition.

Caboose
Last known to be in Santa Cruz at the old SP Depot. reports say it burned, but someone claims to have saved it.  This is probably TS 306.
