
May 1941. Modesto, CA TS 302 on the tail of a northbound train about to enter Ninth Street. The location is the Modesto yard offices at the south end of the Ninth Street trackage. Of
particular note in this photo is the odd wooden "tower" to the left of the 302. A closer look reveals that this is a small "line car". probably built on a "speeder flat" frame and used for working on the overhead wire, still very much in
