August, 1947. McHenry, CA Classic wooden caboose 303, complete with kerosene marker lights, trails a short local pulled by 44 tonner 135. In 2003, the station at McHenry would become the
end of the line for the Tidewater's north end, as the tracks would be lifted south of this point into Modesto. The 303 would disappear much earlier, retired in 1958 and presumed scrapped soon after.
