TS 743 was acquired after the Tidewater's three diesels had been renumbered into 700 series numbers. Sporting sealed beam headlights and a different version of
Zephyr paint (complete with non-standard numbers), the 743 cut a different look from its two sisters. Here, it rests at the WP's Sacramento Shops, probably in town for a little TLC.
The 743 survives today on the Dakota Southern
Railroad, the last survivor of the 5 SN/TS 70 tonners.
