March 16, 1975.  Stockton, California.

As the Central California Traction Company struggled with a lack of motive power in the mid-1970's, one source of relief was the Western Pacific.  The WP was more than happy to lease Tidewater 746 to its partly owned subsidiary for a far lower daily rate than the CCT's other parents, the Southern Pacific and the Santa Fe, were quoting for spare power.  Here, the RS1 waits for an assignment at the Traction Company's Stockton Shops, which long ago hosted Tidewater interurban cars and freight motors.  The 746's move would be permanent in December 1976, going to the CCT as their 80 and reversing the journey of TS 100, which began as CCT 1.  The 80 would spend most of her CCT career working out of Sacramento.
