around 1971.  Turlock, California.

RS1 746 and an unidentified cupola caboose take a rest at the Tidewater's small depot in Turlock.  This track appears to be on the opposite side of the depot from the main track itself.  The loco is likley tied up while the crew heads to "beans".  While the engine still retains its UP yellow and grey paint, a Tidewater standard spot light has been added to the roof and it also sports one of the WP's classic Nathan M5R24 horns.  The Turlock Depot survives today as offices, the last dedicated depot still standing from the railroad.
