Summer 1971.  Aurora, California.

RS-1s 747 and 746 rest in the small yard at Aurora, just north of Modesto. Both still wear ex-UP colors having only been delivered to the TS months earlier.  I have rarely seen photos of the two RS1s together in the same place.

Both were originally built for the Spokane International. They would serve the Tidewater until 1975 when 747 was scrapped and 746 was sold to the Central California Traction.

TS 746/CCT 80 is now owned by a private individual in Willits, California.
