March 1990.  Stockton, California

Although sold to the Stockton Terminal and Eastern in 1976, TS second 745 reportedly never turned a revenue wheel for the road.  The last locomotive to ever be owned by the Tidewater Southern became a hanger queen for the ST&E's Alco stable and quickly began donating parts to keep its fellow ex-WP sisters running.  Looking much the same today, I documented the 745's wretched condition in early 1990.  Click the photo to see the other images.
