Location/Date unknown. Ancient wood body motor 601 was an occaisional visitor to the Tidewater Southern when extra juice power was called for. It is unknown if the 601 ever operated as a
baggage motor on the TS, or was solely used as a locomotive. While the date of this photo is unknown,.the prescence of the pantograph indicates it was taken before WWII and the 601's long-term use in Modesto during the war. During
this time, the TS scrapped the pantographs off of the 601 and sister 602.
