November 28, 1954.  Oakland, California.

One of the very few color photos I have ever seen of TS 106/SN 670.  The motor is shown at the SN carhouse at its 40th Street and Shafter facility in Oakland.  Gathered around are survivors from SN's passenger service, now owned by the Bay Area Electric Railway association.  SN birney 62 is the white car to the left of the photo.  The interurban shown behind the 670 is probably SN 1005.  Both now survive at the Western Railway Museum at Rio Vista Jct.

The 670 only had a little over 2 more years of service out of Oakland ahead of her.  She was a regular on the south end after her sale to the SN.  After the line over the Oakland Hills was abandoned, the 670 was mothballed and finally retired.
