The only gondolas in the TS fleet, these were also the last freight cars delivered to the TS with friction bearing trucks. In 1957, the Western Pacific intended to order 100 gondolas from
AC&F. However, the railroad could only arrange financing for 75 cars. The decision was made to have 20 financed using the SN and 5 using the TS and assign those cars to the subsidiaries. The 5 TS cars roamed widely in
general service. These cars appear to have survived until the late 1960's to early 1970's. A WP Mechanical Department memo covering TS car renumberings issued in December 1975 shows only one remaining, TS 202. It was renumbered
to WP 9796.
