TS 504 waits in the Stockton yard, looking very worn and faded after 22 years of service.  It does not appear that any 501 series car was ever repainted while owned by the Tidewater.  The 501 series were uninsulated and thus probably found use mostly hauling non-food products such as lumber and paper.
