May 22, 1947.  Stockton, California

One of the Western Pacific's oldest locomotives, 65 years old and counting, takes a rest at Stockton.  Having only recently acquired the tender from soon to be scrapped TS second 1, the 124 has itself only a few months left in revenue service before it permanently joins the deadline.  A regular on the Tidewater and the Terminous Branch, the 124 came from the Boca and Loyalton.
