March 6, 1948.  Stockton, California.

A line-up of some regular TS steam power is found on a ready track in Stockton.  WP 124 (wearing second 1's tender, complete with TS name intact) looks fired up and ready to go, despite roster evidence that it was out of service by this time.  WP 122 is likewise on borrowed time.  Stalwart 132 will outlast them both, although its future operations would be confined only to the spring and fall rushes, when power was short and every servicable engine was needed.
