With this timetable, the line beyond Chemurgic to Hilmar was officially removed.  The last land owned by the railroad in the town of Hilmar itself would be sold off by the end of 1957.  Not much else appears to have changed, but in fact the line was undergoing a complete upgrading to allow the use of heavier cars and locomotives and remove the last traces of its spindly interurban heritage.
