Tidewater Southern Railway
General Electric 44 ton 135/735

courtesy of Frank Brehm
TS 135/735 was the only 44 tonner on the Tidewater's roster. It is one of only four WP family 44 tonners to survive. The others are SN 145 and 146 and CCT 25. Sister engine Quincy 3 also survives at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum. SN 142 was leased to the Tidewater for a time and other SN "mice" were used on the line. SN 146, now preserved at the Western Railway Museum at Rio Vista Jct., was photographed at times in multiple with the 135/735. CCT 25 is now lettered Turlock Western and lives at the end of the Tidewater's Chemurgic Branch.
