May 12, 1935. Aurora, California. Wire has been gone from the mainline for about 3 years, but motor 100 still has over 10 more years of service pulling trains through Modesto. While this
photo suffers from some water damage, it clearly shows several, often hard to see details about the unit, including the numerous vent holes ahead of the cab and what looks to be writing under the cab. Through some quirk of fate, most
photos of the 100 on this site prominently show the A or front end of the unit. In this case, the B end is highlighted.
