With the Tidewater's midget linecar in the background, motor 100 is preparing to lead 4-6-0 1 onto the Ninth Street trackage.  The 100 has just been cut in after shifting over from the "motor spur" next to the freight house, shown in the foreground.  TS 1 has either just arrived from a trip south or was working the Modesto and Empire Traction interchange.
