A close-up of the 106's rear hood shows several interesting details, including the headlight and its mounting. Note there is a reweight date in the lower right. Unlike the SN, which had its power serviced at its own shops in Chico and Oakland and later at the WP shops in Sacramento, the TS contracted shopping out to the Central California Traction Company in Stockton. The weigh date is shown as February 1946 in Sacramento, presumably the WP Jeffrey Shops. Its known that the 106 was at the CCT shops just prior to its sale, so the Sac mark might be part of an acceptance inspection by the SN.

Details
late 1947. Oakland, California. TS 106 rests at the Sacramento Northern's 40th and Shafter engine
facility. Her days in Modesto are over for good as she has been transferred to the SN and will soon be relettered as SN 670. A pantograph has been reapplied (following the use of one while on lease to the SN during WWII) and other
modifications are being made to get the motor ready for regular service out of Oakland.

Details of the cab and the pantograph mount. The blanking of one half of the cabside window is clearly visible. This was done by the TS some time in the late
1930's.
